Francophonie 2020 : 15th Film Festival
The French Institute of Cyprus and the Association Friends of Cinema, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus and the Embassies of Switzerland, Lebanon, Austria and Romania present the 15th Francophonie Film Festival.
All films start at 9:00 pm, except on Sunday: 8:00 pm. Venue: Cine studio, University of Nicosia
The Friends of Cinema Society is a cinema club. According to the terms and conditions for its operation and screening of films, NO admission is allowed to anyone under the age of 18.

Sunrise in Kimmeria
Wednesday 4 March 2020. Opening of the Film Festival with the Cypriot film Sunrise in Kimmeria, proposed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus. Free Entrance. A cocktail will be offered by the Ministry before the projection.

Synopsis: Frank devotes his life to work. Hanging on his phone, he manages the cargo ships he charters for large companies. Deeply shaken, betrayed by a system to which he has given everything, he does some soul-searching to save the only link that still counts in his eyes: the one he managed to maintain with his youngest daughter, Mathilde.
