The French Institute of Cyprus, the French Embassy in Cyprus , the Commissioner for the Environment., the Cyprus Institute TRANS-Lighthouses , the Commissioner for the Environment., the Representation of the European Commision in Cyprus, Yeu Cyprus, and several local institutions are pleased to present the 2nd edition of the Go For Green festival.
This interdisciplinary and collaborative project places water at the center of an artistic, civic, and ecological reflection, through a series of public events.
Go For Green 2025 – Water Dreams festival shall feature a series of artistic, educational and participatory actions along the Pedieos River in Nicosia to raise awareness about water and climate issues. The two-day “Liquid Capsule” workshop, led by artists Elena Adamou and Benjamin Nid, will engage participants in creating a multimedia installation reflecting collective memories of the river. An educational day for schools will include augmented reality workshops, participatory projects, and creative outdoor activities around the theme of water, including a special presentation by French artist Julie Stephen Chheng.
The week will culminate in a public festival on 20th of September 2025, transforming the dried-up riverbed into a vibrant space celebrating art, memory, and ecology. The event will feature immersive installations, performances, screenings, and family-friendly activities, along with a digital art trail and an interactive wall painting through Ayios Dometios.

- Afternoon DJ Set
Ambient and experimental sounds to accompany the transition from day to evening in a relaxed, open-air setting. - 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM
- Keynote Talk
A short, impactful address by a guest speaker on art, ecology, and community engagement. - 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM
- Ideas Forum
A participatory discussion inviting artists, thinkers, and the public to exchange ideas around the day’s themes. - 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Film Screening
Water in Cyprus: Memories of Bygone Times
Directed and produced by Paschalis Papapetrou, this film is an initiative of the Cyprus Environmental Commission, offering a reflective look at the role of water in the island’s history and identity. - 8:00 PM – 8:30 PM
- Sunset DJ Set
A dynamic mix to energize the crowd as night falls and the space begins to transform. - 8:30 PM – 1:00 AM
- Launch of the Interactive Installations
As darkness sets in, the site comes alive with light, sound, and movement through a series of immersive and interactive installations inviting the public to wander, reflect, and participate in a unique night-time experience.
