DELF Junior/Scolaire

DELF Junior/Scolaire is intended for teenagers who are undertaking studies in secondary school.

A1

There are 4 tests in total:
  • 3 group tests with other candidates in the same room
  • 1 individual test in which each candidate is alone in a room with the examiners.
Group Tests
  • Listening comprehension / 4 exercises
  • Answer comprehension questions on very shorts audio recordings
 20 minutes
  • Reading comprehension / 4 exercises
  • Answer comprehension questions on four or five written texts
 30 minutes
  • Writing skills / 2 exercises
  • Fill in a form and write a short text of 40 words.
 30 minutes
Individual test
  • Speaking skills / 2 parts
  • Guided interview / Asking and giving information/ simulated dialogue
 5 - 7 minutes
  • Each test is marked out of 25 points.
  • Passing mark: minimum 50 / 100
  • Minimum mark required per test: 5 / 25

Registrations for the DELF-DALF Junior May 2026 session will be open from January 15 to March 12, 2026.

All candidates must register online via the exam platform: https://ifchypre-exam.org.

Personal invitations to the exams will be available in the accounts on the exam platform two weeks prior to the exam date.

Results will be released within two months of the exam date.
